Change iphone 11 Theme to Black
on the iphone 11 well in this blog I'm going to show you how to enable it how to enable dark mode in iOS 12 among with a few more
tricks that should help make your iPhone experience better than it is and earn some snacks sit back relax okay so here's the thing at the WWC 2020 Apple has
indeed announced a brand new dark mode but it seems like Timmy or boy Timmy decided to troll us really hard because it was not for iOS but it was
for the Mac and that's still that's still okay I've actually done end of review of Mac OS Mojave not really sure how to pronounce this thing is it more
heavy or mojave probably the second one I think that's that's how Craig federighi pronounced in any event but yeah I've actually talked about dark mode on the Mac what
it does right and what it does wrong overall it's a great new feature it's not a true dark mode since the windows are not black they're more of like
a dark gray and the main issue with it was the fact that it's not it's actually system-wide so you cannot enable or disable it for specific applications which is
a pretty big letdown and apps such as mail or the calendar where it doesn't look that great so we have dork mode on the max the max that come
with an LCD display but not the iphone 11 that comes with an all the display well-done Apple that pretty much makes as much sense as not having an always-on
display on the iphone 11 or charging the Apple pencil from the iPad pro like this not even to mention charging the Magic Mouse like this so on an all
a display the pixels can provide both the color and the brightness meaning that he did not need a backlight at all so you can actually turn off and on
individual pixels when you wish so if you're displaying a bright object among with the back black background only the middle pixels would actually be lit up so all the
other pixels would be turned off completely meaning that you would not only get a perfect black display that would be indistinguishable from the actual dark bezels this looks amazing
by the way especially on the iphone 11 you cannot tell where is the bezel at a word the screen starts but an OLED display would consume much much much
less power than compared to an LCD display and on an LCD display for example the pixels they only provide a color and not the backlight so you do need
the backlight to light up the display all the time so even when you're displaying just black the backlight would still have to be on all the time meaning that
you would not only get this really gray or bluish looking black but it would also consume much more power than with an all-in display so now we have a
pretty good idea of why a dark mode would make so much more sense on the iphone 11 and nada max because only on the max it simply looks good
but for functionality perspective dark moe needs an outlet display which none of the Macs have the only Apple products by the way to have an Olie display are the
Apple watch yes the Apple watch has had an ala display since it was announced in 2014 and then released in 2015 and then the iphone 11 and that's it
the purpose of a dark mode would be mostly for saving battery life and making it easier to read content at night because right now even with the brightness then
to its lowest it's still quite bright at night my way pro tip there is a way to get around this so just go to settings then simply go to
general going to accessibility and display accommodations and enable reduce white points then select the percentage that you want and then go ahead and disable it now go back into
accessibility scroll all the way down until you see accessibility shortcuts and have reduced white points selected and now when you triple click the home button or the side button
on the iPhone 10 the brightness would be lowered more than what the usual limit is making it easier for you to read at night so that's pretty cool but
it's not a true dark mode however there is a way to enable dark mode in iOS 12 and here's how to do it okay so first things first to
go on Google and search for black wallpaper or dark wallpaper find a good one that's just clean black save it and then apply it also try and keep your
home screen as clean as possible because the last apps you have the better dark mode would it be working and also the less power it would consume then simply
go to settings go to general accessibility display accommodations invert colors and then enable smart invert so what it does is that it will invert all colors however first-party apps
that had a dark interface they would remain dark and then photos and videos as well they won't get inverted either so now if I go to the home screen
you'll notice that the apps they do look a bit off in terms of the colors but it's not too bad now when I open up the clock app there
we go it's still dark so the clock app hasn't been inverted let's open up the calendar app at whoa take a look at this it's dark as well and
then settings is also dark the weather app works just like before so no inverted colors and the weather app or anything the Notes app is also dark now and
then the mail app seems to be dark as well so yeah it seems to work really really well but this was what first party apps so if I go
ahead and open up a YouTube actually YouTube has been updated for this smart and Bert that Apple implemented so YouTube videos would look normal but if you go into
I don't know let's say BBC News or some other less popular apps you'll notice that everything would be inverted and pretty much unusable so Apple has made some improvements
and I was 12 on a smart invert so the first party apps should work even better than before with this mode but here's the thing since it does work
so well why isn't Apple just calling this dark mode or even better make a new dark mode give us the API and make it so that every first party
essentially what I'm saying is having a dark mode that works exactly like smart convert works right now with the exception of inverting colors in a third party app because
right now if you open up a third party app that hasn't been updated for this smart invert all the colors would be inverted whereas in my suggestion for dark
mode if you open up an app that hasn't been updated for dark mode it will look basically the same as before so just as YouTube added Smart invert support
in their app developers would be able to add support for this dark mode if Apple were to make it official and call it dark mode and add it I
don't know into the display menu option or even in the control center that way more developers would implement it because right now it's actually hidden in a ton of
sub menus and none of people know about this so there we go a quick way on how to enable dark mode in iOS 12 again this works on the
